They last a lot longer than their paper predecessors; they are more protected against forgery and are more comfortable in use. Moreover, the plastic base allows implementation into the document of the automated identification tool. Such a tool may be a barcode, magnetic stripe, or a chip-module.

At present, the enterprise manufactures identification documents blanks for Ukraine and other countries of the world. Blanks are manufactured in the plastic card format (ID-1) and in the form of polycarbonate passport pages. The personal data of the passport? s holder is recorded on the polycarbonate page.
