Kyiv, Ukraine – In December 2009, the quality management system of the enterprise ZNAK Ltd., a leader in the industry of plastic cards manufacture in Europe, has been audited successfully for the conformance with the requirements of the international and national standards ISO 9001.

Audits were conducted by the auditing company BUREAU VERITAS and national authority of Ukraine CENTER OF MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS CERTIFICATION.

Both the main and auxiliary processes and corresponding documentation were verified during the audits. The documentation of the quality management system regarding a Policy, procedures and protocols required by the standard ISO 9001 was inspected too.

The surveillance audits confirmed that the quality management system was operating and was being continuously improved at the enterprise ZNAK. The implemented quality management system improves the main and auxiliary processes of the enterprise, enhances the corporate culture and efficiency of the personnel work. The audits also confirmed that the enterprise ZNAK conducted an opened information policy in respect of the clients and partners. The enterprise's policy in the quality sphere is founded on the basic principles such as integrity, objectivity and transparency.

As the EDAPS Consortium's Press Service informed earlier the International Payment System VISA International had conducted an audit of ZNAK at the end of September 2009. Richard Trim, a Supervisor of VISA International, says that ZNAK is the best enterprise which he had ever examined. Enterprise's technological processes are understandable and implemented in accordance with the requirements of the payment system.

Furthermore, at the beginning of October 2009, ZNAK became the first Ukrainian manufacturer of the chip payment cards for banks linked up with the UkrCard Processing Center.

The enterprise ZNAK isamemberof the EDAPS Consortium, established by the hi-tech leading companies in Ukraine. The enterprise manufactures a wide range products from the earliest discount cards to the smart payment cards and document blanks.
An annual production capacity of the enterprise is 100 million of plastic cards and 3 million of polycarbonate passport pages. As of the date of August 01, 2009 the enterprise performed more than 550 different complicated projects for the plastic cards production and signed the agreements with more than 100 Ukrainian and foreign banks for the international payment cards production.
The enterprise is an authorized and certified manufacturer of the International payment system VISA International and MasterCard Worldwide, as well as the National System of Mass Electronic Payments and Interbank Bank System UkrCard.
In December 2008 the quality management system of ZNAK was certified by the auditing company Bureau Veritas according to the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2000 and by the National Body of Ukraine for the certification according to the requirements of standard DSTU ISO 9001:2001.
